About Author
Atul Kumar was born in Bhiwani (Haryana) and graduated from Delhi College of Engineering. He did his post graduation in Civil Engineering from IIT Madras and served Indian Railways thereafter. While working at the joint secretary level in the Railways, he estimated and highlighted the continuing annual loss of Rs. 50 billion through procurement in the Indian Railways. For his outstanding efforts he was awarded ‘S R Jindal Prize – 2011’ for ‘Crusade against Corruption’ by the Sitaram Jindal Foundation.
