Buddha’s message of love, compassion, consideration for the less privileged, code of conduct for the monks, a disciplined and recluse life are some of the traits of his philosophy which gained roots in China, Japan, Korea, Srilanka, Cambodia, America, England etc. Japanese and Chinese Zen system modified some of his precepts in order to adjust Buddhism in their states.
