‘The Scarlet Pimpernel’ is a fantastic adventure play by Baroness Orczy set during the early stages of the French Revolution. In this play the protagonist has a secret identity behind which lies the heroic qualities of the main character. The play is fantastically plotted that drags its readers from the center of London society to a dark night on the coast of France. The book is so interesting that it barely lets us pause for breath.
